Polymer science and polymer engineering are the branches of material science where engineers are working towards developing new materials. Polymer materials refer to solid materials, and it is quite possible to quote various examples of liquid as well as gaseous materials that are beneficial to mankind.
Material scientists were one of the oldest engineers. The earliest inventors had helped defining material science research, by discovering the properties and implementing one of the most important materials in the history of the world; 'METAL'. Metallurgy may not be entirely material science.
The scientists are working to form something useful every day by doing experiments. One field of science that is on the rise nowadays due to its immense benefits is Materials Science and hence materials research is the current research hotspot.
The development and advances in material science research are going to change all these things. We will soon have light weight cars, transportation items, highly durable paper, nano gadgets and many more.
Materials research continues to remain intrinsically and interdisciplinary even after the evolution of the rise of, journals, societies, and departments, which now explain the field explicitly.
"Researchers at MIT and elsewhere have succeeded in creating a synthetic crystal that can very effectively control the transmission of heat -- stopping it in its tracks and reflecting it back. This advance could lead to insulating materials that could block the escape of heat more effectively than any present insulator."
Elemental Analysis is the process where an element is analyzed under different conditions, sometimes the analysis is dependent on the outer level while there are times when the element is broken and analysis is done over to the deepest level. These analyses are done on the molecular and atomic level.
Mahendra Trivedi Thermal analysis can be read at Trivedi Science. He has done analysis over Alginic Acid Sodium Salt, Ethyl Cellulose, Activated Charcoal, Magnesium Nitride etc.
